Recently, we had the opportunity to work with a client in Wichling, Kent, who had a particularly challenging task at hand. The client’s overgrown hedgerow had caught the attention of the local council, which had ordered them to reduce the height of the trees to ensure safety and prevent potential hazards for the community. This project involved cutting down the trees from their current towering height to a more manageable 5-6 feet, allowing the trunks to regrow at a hedge-friendly height and form a well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing hedgerow.
The task at hand was not just about aesthetics; it was also about safety. The overgrown hedgerow posed a risk of branches or even entire trees breaking and landing on the road, potentially causing accidents or other hazards.
